A2 Pure Bilona Ghee
Making Ghee the right way.
At V-Desi Organics, we follow the ancient Vedic Bilona method to prepare ghee. It’s a time-tested, sacred process that preserves the essence and nutrients of milk. To make just 1 liter of ghee, we use 30 liters of organic A2 milk from our Tharparkar cows.
The process begins with slow boiling of the milk in clay pots for hours over a gentle cow dung cake fire. Once the milk thickens and turns slightly brown, it is cooled and made into curd.
The curd is then hand-churned early in the morning using a sandalwood bilona (wooden churner), which adds a subtle aroma. The resulting makkhan (butter) is collected and heated slowly in a mud vessel until it turns into golden, aromatic ghee. While most brands focus only on machines and production speed, we emphasize purity and tradition – the cow’s breed, her natural feed, and this sacred Bilona method.
